BSH cats tend to be calm, easygoing, loyal and enjoy human interaction. They adapt well to new environments.

BSH cats come in over 30 colors! Most common: blue, black, white, red, cream, brown, lilac, cinnamon.

BSH have a dense, plush coat that requires regular brushing and combing to minimize shedding and tangles.

British Shorthairs are moderate shedders. Expect some cat hair on furniture. Regular grooming helps control loose fur.

Shedding 

With proper care, British Shorthair cats typically live 12-20 years. Some have reached 25! A long-lived breed.

Lifespan  

BSH are generally healthy but can be prone to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and polycystic kidney disease.
